Northwest Consolidated Fire District Staffing consists of the Fire Chief overseeing the entire District with all other members being divided into 3 shifts. A part-time administrative assistant reports to the Fire Chief. Each shift consists of a Battalion Chief who manages daily activities across the district, and captains that oversee each station. Each shift has a minimum staffing of 8 personnel. Shifts work a 24 hour shift rotating over 9 days (24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 96 off). There are 5 part-time firefighters who fill as needed so the district can achieve minimum staffing 100% of the time.
