Northwest Consolidated Fire District Staffing consists of 1 Chief overseeing the entire department with all other members being divided into 3 shifts. Each shift consists of a Battalion Chief who oversees daily activities across the district, 2 Lieutenants who oversees activities within each station, and 5 firefighters who are a mix of Master Firefighters, and Firefighters. One of the firefighters fills the role of the officer at the station that does not have a Lieutenant. Each shift has a minimum staffing of 7 personnel. Shifts work a 24 hour shift rotating over 9 days (24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 96 off). There are 7 part-time firefighters who fill as needed so the district can achieve minimum staffing 100% of the time.
